Rainer Krause (Hoyerhagen, Germany, 1957) is a sound and visual artist. Since 1987, he has been living and working in Santiago de Chile. He is currently a professor at the University of Chile and coordinator of the Postgraduate Diploma in Sound Art. Since 1985, he has been participating in individual and collective exhibitions in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Since 2005, he has been working also as curator for shows, events and other projects related to sound art.
