Rafael Guendelman

Rafael Guendelman (Chile, 1987) holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Cinema Theory from the Catholic University of Chile, he also has a Diploma in Contemporary Arab World from the University of Chile. He has participated: in the residences «ZK/ U: Center of Art and Urbanism» in Berlin (2012) and in «Laznia» of Gdansk, Poland (2015); and in different exhibitions and video festivals both in Chile and abroad, among which stand out: Territorial Visions, La Moneda Cultural Center, Santiago (2016); Landless, Salvador Allende Solidarity Museum and Valparaiso Cultural Park (2015); II Bienal of the image and movement, Buenos Aires (2014); Influences, Cultural Center of Spain, Santiago (2014); Planisferio, Matucana 100, Santiago (2014); An Eskimo with a white fox that has just hunt, House of the Americas, Havana (2013); Rencontres Internationales Paris / Berlin / Madrid at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin (2013) and at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2012); Anexation Wall: 10 years too long, Al-ma’al Lab, Jerusalem and Dar-alkalima, Bethlehem (2012).
He has been interested in investigating various contexts and histories, and the relationship of man with his environment in the construction of identities. In that sense, the projects have been linked to both social and political processes, as well as personal memories and marginal events.
