Narda Alvarado (Bolivia, 1975) is an artist, researcher and student of philosophy. She investigates artistic, cultural or existential conflicts. She gave workshops on YouTube’s for US universities. She worked as co-instructor and video game research assistant (Singapore-MIT GAMBIT GameLab). She managed a laboratory of radial experimentation with the artist collective Artistas en Latinoamérica.
She also studies and uses different audiovisual and communication media. She created and directed a multidisciplinary team in charge of compiling and studying the video art produced in Bolivia. She holds a BA in Architecture and Construction, a Master of Science in Art, Culture, and Technology (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) and a Master of Visual Arts (Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, The Netherlands). She participated in the International Biennials of Venice, Sao Paulo, Busan, Havana, and Mercosur, among others. She exhibited individually and collectively in Bolivia, Latin America and Europe. She has also done residencies and artist expeditions in different cities around the world.
