Juan-Pedro Fabra Guemberena (Montevideo, 1971) is a Uruguayan artist. Son of a family exiled in Sweden in the late seventies, Juan Pedro Fabra gathers this experience of displacement and uprooting to develop a narrative and an imaginary of the extreme and the sublime. His work has been exhibited internationally, highlighting his participation in the 50th and 57th Venice Biennial (2003 and 2017), the first Las Americas Biennial (Denver, 2013) and the Stockholm Museum of Modern Art (2006).
