Carlos Labbé (Santiago de Chile, 1977) has a B.A. and M.A. in Literature. He has published the novels Pentagonal: incluidos tú y yo (2001), Libro de plumas (2004), Navidad y Matanza (2007), Locuela (2009), Piezas secretas contra el mundo (2014) and  La parvá (Sangría, 2015), and also the short stories compillations Caracteres blancos (Sangría, 2010 / Periférica, 2011),  Short the Seven Nightmares with Alebrijes (2015), as well as Cortas las pesadillas con alebrijes (Sangría, 2017).
Besides literature, he is also involved in music. First, he performed in two different bands: Ex Fiesta and Tornasólidos. Later, he produced the following solo albums: Doce canciones para Eleodora (2007), Monicacofonía (2008), Mi nuevo órgano (2011) and  Repeticiones para romper el cerco (2013). He was a screenwriter for Malta con huevo (2007) and El nombre (2016). He also writes Literary Criticism for sobrelibros.cl and is a member of the independent publishing house Sangría.
