Monica Bonvicini



Monica Bonvicini (Venecia, 1965) is an Italian artist. She lives and works in Berlin. Since 2003 she has been professor of sculpture and performance at the Academy of Visual Arts in Vienna. Bonvicini’s work explores the relationship between structures of power, gender and space. Her work brings together installations, sculptures, videos, photographs and drawings. She has created permanent public sculptures for the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in London, the Oslo Opera House and the Museum of Modern Art in Istanbul.
