Leo Medel is a cinematographer trained at the Film School of Chile. In this institution he achieved distinction in direction and screenplay. He is a member and founder of the artistic collective Sure, which also includes Marco Angelo and Daniel Ferreira. Sure has participated in several national tape-recordings, like Rage of Óscar Cárdenas, where Medel was in charge of the production. His debut as a director is on October 30, 2008 with the premiere of Papa or 36 thousand trials of the same event. The tape had the peculiarity of offering several different endings. He currently teaches at the Film School of Chile.
