Alejandro Albornoz is an electro-acoustic composer working in the field of acoustic music and live electronics. He is currently a Ph. D. candidate in Electroacoustic Composition at the Music Department of the University of Sheffield (UK), supervised by Adam Stanović and Adrian Moore. His research focuses on voice and poetry in the acousmatic context.
In Sheffield, under the name co(n)de Zero, he has been involved with the Live Coding scene of the Northern England. Since 2015, he is exploring improvisation mainly with Tidal Cycles, a real-time creation language through algorithms, looking for the deconstruction and juxtaposition of rhythms & textures in a kind of baroque-minimal style.
