Ichiro Higashiizumi is a Japanese designer and engineer. His work focuses on making «things that are done for the first time» encompassing the fields of design, science, engineering, art, and physical expression in order to develop innovative and comprehensive solutions in complex contexts. He has created experimental facilities for places such as the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), and the scenography of the World Cup of the year 2002.
