Antonio Hales is astronomer of scientific operations, he graduated in Astronomy from the University of Chile and hold a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of London. He took part of almost every step of the implementation of the biggest observatory of the world: ALMA ( Atacama Large Millimeter/ Submillimeter Array); from testing prototype of the first antenna in New Mexico, until installation of definitive antennas in the Atacama desert, Chile. Nowadays, he is part of the Department of Scientific Operation of the observatory. Alongside to ALMA, Antonio investigates planet formation with collaborators in Chile, the USA., Europe and Japan.
